01 · The brief

An exchange programme hosting delegations from eight countries across six cities in eleven days, needing a poster that carried all of it and a welcome series that could greet each delegation in its own language.

02 · Constraints

  • 01Dates, six cities, eight country flags and a QR on one poster
  • 02Greetings in English, Urdu and the delegation's own language
  • 03Delegate photographs supplied on arrival
  • 04A logotype that had to include the year

03 · Approach

Build the year into the mark

The 26 is drawn into the Youth logotype rather than sitting beside it, so the programme is dated without a separate line.

A flag behind, a banner below

One template: delegate cut out, their national flag behind, a trilingual welcome banner below, delegation named on a plate. Swap three elements, greet a new country.

Everything on one poster

Dates, six cities, eight flags and a registration QR arranged so a phone screen can still be scanned in one pass.

Cut out, not boxed

Delegates are cut out against the flag rather than framed, so the greeting feels like a welcome rather than a notice.

04 · What was delivered

Programme logotype, the programme poster and the delegation welcome series.

06 · Result

A welcome series that scaled to each arriving delegation in its own language without a new design, and a poster carrying the whole programme in one frame.

07 · Questions

About this project

How do you greet eight delegations in their own languages?

With one template and three swappable parts: the delegate cut out, their national flag behind, and a welcome banner that takes a third language without breaking the layout.

Can one poster really carry dates, six cities and eight flags?

Yes, if the hierarchy is decided first. The programme poster is arranged so a phone screen can be scanned in one pass rather than read in sections.
