These are the sizes local printers quote without being asked, which makes them the cheapest to order and the fastest to turn around. Anything non-standard is possible, but it costs more and takes longer.
Large format in Pakistan is quoted in feet. Paper is quoted in the A-series. Ask for the spec sheet before artwork starts — a five-minute question that prevents a reprint.

Items cut in large stacks — wedding cards, invitations, anything ordered in thousands — often need 5mm bleed rather than 3mm, because the blade drifts through the pile.
For panaflex, build the artwork at one tenth of final size at 300 dpi. That gives 300 dpi at final scale with a file the shop can actually open.
